Why Must it End This Way
By Johnny
I went out feeling confident With only one thing on my mind. I told myself I wouldn't drink, Or choose to waste my time. So when the party finally ended, And my friends drove out of sight, I felt proud of myself - For doing what was right.
As I'm driving down the highway, and I'm eager to get home, something changed my life forever that I'd have to face- alone. Some kid that had been drinking, Was now driving out of control. And because of his mistakes that night, It was I - who paid the toll. With broken glass, and twisted metal, On the pavement now I lay. Inflicted with the wounds of death; Why must it end this way?
